the year of shopping prudently.

i've been shopping.  i told myself that this is going to be my shopping year.  it's not frivolous if you actually  need stuff, right?

purchases in the last couple of weeks have included:

if you knew how long i've been talking about getting a pair of converse, you'd be like: "nadyne, it's about stinkin' time!"  i haven't owned a pair since 1988.  for some reason, i was kind of worried i'd get them and not wear them.  i'm happy to report that they've barely been off my feet since i left the store with them.  i almost got clark's desert boots but i needed to be able to wear them with leggings (since that's what i have on 80% of the time) and the clark's looked too chunky with leggings (do you really need this much back-story?  probably not... sorry).

i already own a little green army jacket but it's on the snug side.  somebody isn't as skinny as she was 7 years ago when she purchased it.  anyway, i spotted this one by billabong a couple of weeks ago and now it hangs in my closet, eagerly awaiting warmer days and its moment to shine.

this fabric was a bit too close to toile de jouy for me to just leave it there.  30 bucks at american eagle in the purgh.

that's it.  that's all i got.  please file under "lamest international women's day blog post ever".
