so there i was, innocently looking for old photos of neil young and joni mitchell, trying to put together some sort of canada day post and what do i find? only the best thing ever. if you're a fan of old country songs, or even current indie folk, you're going to want to check out when you awake.
their mixtapes section is filled with a ridiculous amount of awesome compilations. there's a leonard cohen covers mix. a townes van zandt covers mix. willie nelson. kris kristofferson. oh yeah, and neil too. it's nuts. and then there are mixtapes by people like the girl from the bird and the bee who put together a compilation of songs she plays when she has people over for dinner. and they're all free to dowload. it's almost too good to be true. except it is true. merry christmas.
